We offer a variety of our signature specialty camps that range from athletics to coding to dance, sewing, and more. And with camp locations in both DC and Bethesda, we bring the magic of summer close to your home.

🏀 Sidwell Slam Dunk: Basketball Camp (Grades 2-8)
Led by the incredible Tamika Dudley, Sidwell Friends Girls Basketball Coach and National Coach of the Year, our Basketball Camp is designed for every skill level—from beginners to AAU players. Set on our DC Campus in the state-of-the-art Pearson Athletic Center, campers will receive personalized instruction, focusing on fundamentals, teamwork, and leadership. With daily skill drills, team competitions, and an emphasis on sportsmanship, this camp promises a slam dunk of a summer! 💃 Dance into Joy: Dance Explorations (Grades 1-4)
Step into the enchanting world of Dance Explorations, where young dancers set out on a week-long journey of self-expression and rhythmic exploration. Crafted for elementary-aged children, this camp blends fun and fundamental dance techniques. From ballet to hip-hop, every twirl and leap contributes to a magical week of learning, friendship, and creative expression. Offered for only three weeks this summer, join us in the Sidwell Friends dance studio on our DC Campus for a dance experience like no other!

🌈 Play and Learn: Playful Explorers (Grades Pre-K - 1)
"Learn by Playing" is the mantra of our Playful Explorers program! Tailored for our Pre-K to 1st-grade friends, this program offers a perfect blend of learning and fun. Campers explore sensory play, literacy enrichment, process art, music and movement, gross-motor activities, and STEM learning in our three main studios: Movers and Shakers, Creative Concoctions, and Full STEAM Ahead. It's a safe and fun environment where little ones can grow, learn, and have a blast! Offered on both our Bethesda and DC campuses.

🚀 Ignite Curiosity and Confidence: Velocity Adventure Camp (Grades 1-4)
For the thrill-seekers and outdoor enthusiasts, Velocity Adventure Camp is the ultimate ticket! Led by top-class action sports instructors, this camp offers an array of heart-pounding activities, including skateboarding, water games, obstacle courses, fort building, slacklining, and more. Set on our Bethesda Campus, geared for campers in grades 1-4, every week promises new adventures, skill-building, and the creation of lasting memories. Plus, each week, campers get to build and customize their very own skateboard to take home!

🎭 Spotlight on Creativity: Theater (Grades K-5)
Introducing a Sidwell Summer Exclusive Program—Theater! Geared towards elementary aged campers, this program helps them discover the magic of body movement and expression. It's a journey into the world of imagination, where every child gets to explore their creative spark through drama and play. Led by Sidwell Friends’ Lower School Assistant Librarian, Kayleigh Gallagher, join us on the DC Campus for a creative week to remember!
